Even though my kids don't have disabilities. Over the past year I have had a few clients in studio who talked to me about their struggles dealing with Public stares at their children with disabilities. So much so that they don't feel comfortable going to the local restaurant for lunch anymore. Perhaps these badges are ways to spread awareness and some consideration? Do you know someone who might be interested?

Sometimes prefer nature and animals above other humans. Reason being is that they are more honest. How often do single mom's feel like the target of stigma - when people are surprised by how well-behaved your children are?? Or the easy target when school fees were outstanding, because the father ran away, and you are the one there every day doing drop-offs and pickups?
We don't talk about this, because we either learned to take it in a stride or we think it is happening to us only.
Either way, single mom's get up every day and just brace the day.
