About the Role
A leading medical devices company in Gauteng is seeking a Regulatory Pharmacist to join their team on a half-day, mostly remote basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with SAHPRA and international standards, supporting regulatory submissions, and providing guidance to internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, compile, and submit regulatory documentation to SAHPRA and other authorities.
• Ensure medical devices remain compliant, including product registration, renewals, and variations.
• Keep up-to-date with legislation, guidelines, and industry requirements.
• Review and approve product labeling, artwork, and marketing material for regulatory compliance.
• Provide regulatory support and advice to internal teams, including quality, sales, and marketing.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate potential business impacts.
• Oversee vigilance reporting and post-market surveillance.
Candidate Requirements
• B. Pharm degree with registration as a Pharmacist with the SAPC.
• 2–3 years’ experience as a Regulatory Pharmacist, within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or related healthcare industries.
• Strong understanding of SAHPRA regulations and medical device guidelines.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage workload independently in a remote environment.
Working Arrangements
• Part-time: Half-day position
• Remote-first: Primarily home-based, with occasional office meetings or compliance reviews in Gauteng.
• Flexible working hours within standard business times.
