It all started in 1918 after the world war I (one) when the one of the worse viral epidemics called spanish flue invade our shores and infect then kill our people like the world was being folded. When the creative thinkers came together and created a stokvel where small but regular contributions could be made towards funeral expenses. That wonderful idea gave birth to a now 100 years old organisation called Avbob and from it's humble beginnings Avbob has grown so big it is now up and running in more than 320 branches nationwide. With 3 operating divisions, Insurance, Funeral and Industries. In 1964 we successfully launched Avbob Namibia. As we are growing bigger and better we would like to thank you for being a member of our family and we can assure you that at Avbob family comes first! We were here! We will be here as since 1918. That is why profits we make are shared amongst our policyholders in form of bonuses in their policies. This is why we regard ourselves as a stokvel.
