Hiring: PROFESSIONAL NURSE
Area: Montagu, Western Cape
Starting date: As soon as possible
Key responsibilities:
• Assist doctors during consultations, procedures, and emergencies
• Prepare consultation and procedure rooms and ensure sterile instruments and equipment
• Welcome patients, take medical histories, and record vital signs
• Administer prescribed injections, IV therapy, and treatments
• Monitor patients during and after procedures
• Collect and label blood and other clinical specimens
• Perform point-of-care tests (e.g., urine, glucose, ECG)
• Conduct health assessments (e.g., insurance medicals, Vitality screenings)
• Provide wound care and assist with chronic disease management
• Perform infant wellness checks and routine immunisations
• Educate patients on medication use and post-treatment care
• Maintain patient records and assist with administration and stock control
Minimum requirements:
• Relevant Nursing degree or diploma
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse
• Minimum 3 years of work experience
• Experience in primary healthcare or a medical practice will be advantageous
• Experience with medical aids, Elle Health and Practice Perfect will be advantageous
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
