💚 Yesterday was Cerebral Palsy Day💚

At Aldeia, we proudly wore green to show our support and raise awareness for individuals living with cerebral palsy. This day reminds us of the importance of inclusion, understanding, and celebrating every individual’s unique abilities.

✨ Did you know?
• Cerebral palsy is the most common physical disability in childhood
• Around 1 in 345 children are diagnosed with CP
• CP affects movement and posture, but every individual experiences it differently

At Aldeia, we believe that everyone is connected and that through support, teamwork, and acceptance, we can create a more inclusive world for all 🤝

At Aldeia Noordheuwel, we’ve created a Developmental Centre for children aged 5–14 who need a more supported, structured, and nurturing space to grow.

We support children with:

🥞✨ Pancake Day at Aldeia Noordheuwel!

Today our Aldeia Noordheuwel team turned the centre into a little pancake celebration station! 🇿🇦🥞

Our children had so much fun decorating their pancakes, choosing toppings, and showing off their creative “pancake faces.” From sprinkles and fruit to delicious syrup, every plate became a masterpiece! 🍓🍯

Moments like these remind us that learning also happens through play, creativity, shared experiences, and joyful connection. 💙

A big thank you to our wonderful team for creating such a special day for the children!

What a proud moment🌻

Some stories stay with you forever — and Christiaan’s is one of them. ❤️

In 2014, a journey began with a little boy who was shy, cautious, and still learning how to move with confidence in his own body. Step by step, movement by movement, that same little boy began to grow… not just in strength, but in courage. We watched a once-timid child blossom into a confident young boy who knows he can move, play, explore, and take on the world.

Christiaan’s journey didn’t just change his own life — it inspired the beginning of something so much bigger. His progress, his resilience, and the love of his family helped spark the idea of creating a place where children who need a little extra support could learn, grow, and be celebrated. That spark became Aldeia NeuroBehavior Institute.

From one child’s journey, centres have opened across South Africa, Namibia, and even the Netherlands. Christiaan had the honour of officially opening our brand-new centre in Gauteng — a moment that carried deep gratitude and so much meaning. 🌟

We are constantly reminded that the right people cross our path for a reason. Christiaan and his family have been one of those blessings — a reminder of purpose, hope, and the beauty of seeing a child become who they were meant to be.

Thank you, Christiaan, for being part of our story. And thank you to the amazing family who trusted us all those years ago. We are endlessly grateful and deeply inspired. 🥹🙏✨
