*UPMC COVID-19 Spread Prevention Plan - ver A16Mar 2020:*
1. Avoid touching - greet without a touch!!! - greet by remotely showing the prayer (namaste’) hands sign or by kicking each other’s shoes !!! — DO NOT HUG OR SHAKE HANDS AT ANY COST !!!
2. Taiwan experts provide a simple self-check that we can do every morning. Take a deep breath and hold your breath for more than 10 seconds. If you complete it successfully without coughing, without discomfort, stiffness or tightness, etc., it proves there is no Fibrosis in the lungs, basically indicates no infection. In critical time, please self-check every morning in an environment with clean air.
3. Cover your cough and/or sneeze with a tissue - then immediately throw the tissue away in a trash-bin !!!
4. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and/or mouth !!!
5. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces !!!
6. Stay home when sick - except to get medical care !!!
7. Wash your hands often with bacterial soap and water for at least 20 seconds !!!
8. Use Hand-Sanitizer before you enter and when you leave an estate, shops, businesses, homes, etc. and where-ever it is available !!!
9. Avoid any groups, where-ever possible — group gatherings of more than a 100 is now not allowed in South Africa.
10. Take a few sips of water every 15 minutes at least.
11. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ON CORONAVIRUS —— If you have a runny nose and sputum, you have a common cold —— Coronavirus pneumonia is a dry cough with no runny nose.
12. If someone sneezes with it, it takes about 10 feet before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne.
13. If it drops on a metal surface it will live for at least 12 hours - so if you come into contact with any metal surface - wash your hands as soon as you can with a bacterial soap.
14. On fabric it can survive for 6-12 hours. normal laundry detergent will kill it.
15. Drinking warm water is effective for all viruses. Try not to drink liquids with ice.
16. Wash your hands frequently as the virus can only live on your hands for 5-10 minutes, but - a lot can happen during that time - you can rub your eyes, pick your nose unwittingly and so on.
17. You should also gargle as a prevention. A simple solution of salt in warm water will suffice.
18. Can't emphasis enough - drink plenty of water!
19. COVID-19 Lifespan on materials:
—- in air - 3 hours.
—- on cardboard - 24 hours.
—- on copper - 4 hours.
—- on plastic and stainless steel - up to 3 days.
So again if you come into contact with any above surface - wash your hands as soon as you can with a bacterial soap.
