Burnout conversations managers avoid, and why that's risky
Many managers avoid burnout conversations because of fear:
* fear of saying the wrong thing
* fear of legal implications
* fear of opening something they can't "fix."
Ironically, avoidance increases the risk.
Silence delays intervention.
Delayed intervention escalates harm.
Uninformed reactions create far more legal and ethical exposure than calm, informed conversations.
You don't need perfect words.
You need basic understanding and willingness to engage.
Avoidance feels safer, but it rarely is.
