Hope Hill is a Centre dedicated to the rehabilitation of individuals suffering from substance use disorder. Many people attempt to find release from the pressures of life by using illegal drugs or alcohol without understanding the effects or the addictive potential of these substances. Once a person develops a substance use disorder, they lose their freedom of choice and are unable to choose to face life without leaning on their substance of choice. As a result of their dependence, their lives become unmanageable and jobs are lost, relationships are destroyed and families torn apart. Substance use is a growing problem among the youth and in schools. Young people develop dependencies on illegal drugs and alcohol through giving in to peer pressure and through misguided experimentation.
People who develop substance abuse problems often loose their ability to legally provide and turn to crime as a means to raise the funds needed to support their addictions. Young people who are unable to finish school because of substance use disorder(s) enter the increasingly competitive job market without a proper education and lose out on opportunities. Hope Hill Rehabilitation Centre offers in-patient treatment and re-integration programs in aid of combating substance use disorders and reducing the harm caused by these substances.
OUR VISION
It is our vision to rehabilitate, educate and re-integrate individuals into communities and society, who understand that their story of recovery from substance use disorder has value to others who are still suffering from the same affliction which once crippled them. These individuals will then be able to take part or start 12 step programs in areas where it is much needed and share what they have learned with community members bringing recovery to the still suffering addicts / alcoholics in these communities free of charge. We believe that an individual who works a strong program of recovery has the potential to inspire hope in others and, if the individual has a strong foundation of recovery, to help others achieve freedom from active addiction / alcoholism.
OUR MISSION
We have made it our mission to instill a strong foundation of recovery in individuals who work through our program. We want nothing more than to share our experience of recovery and educate our patients on how to achieve freedom from substance use disorder and how to help others achieve the same. It is our mission to spread the message of recovery through individuals who have taken what our program has to offer and feel the desire to give back to others. We believe there is a strong therapeutic value to one addict / alcoholic helping another.
