MISSION

To provide our community with informative, professional and confidential counselling and testing services. OBJECTIVE

To offer a wide range of support services, tailored to help our local community. Bringing help & care to those who need it most.

1.Assistance with unplanned pregnancy: counselling, testing & ultrasound services
2.Crisis counselling for victims of abuse, neglect & exploitation.
3.Relationship & family counselling.
4.VCT (Voluntary Counselling & Testing)
5.A Blessing Boutique, providing toiletries and a variety of baby items including clothing, equipment, etc.
6.Support of an established network of referrals.
7.Emergency relief in the form of blankets & food to vulnerable families
8.Play-therapy for children (aged 1-14).
9.Child assessments for children ages 1-14 (used to identify the perpetrator or the source of trauma).
10.Talk at schools within the Greater Rustenburg area on topics such as Abortion Awareness, Drug Abuse, Po*******hy, Sexual Integrity, Satanism, etc.

General information

What We Offer Counselling: We provide a supportive, non-judgmental and confidential environment in which our clients are able to explore any emotional and psychological problems. We offer our clients information on a variety of topics, including Abuse, Anxiety, Relationships, Stress, HIV/Aids, Unplanned Pregnancy and Loss (includes Post-Abortion Stress Syndrome). Crisis Pregnancy Centre: We offer practical help and encouragement during an unplanned pregnancy, which includes free testing and assistance with baby-goods such as clothing, nappies, food, and formula from our Blessing Boutique. Child Assessment & Play Therapy: Child assessment is specifically used in cases of abuse to assist in identifying the perpetrator or source of trauma. (Ages 1-14) Play therapy is a technique whereby the child's natural means of expression, namely play, is used as a therapeutic method to assist him/her in coping with emotional stress or trauma. It has been used effectively with children who had a level of understanding equivalent to that of a normal three to eight year old, and who were distraught due to family problems (e.g. parental divorce, sibling rivalry, etc), nail biters, bed wetters, excessive aggressiveness or cruelty, social underdevelopment, or victims of child abuse. H. O. P. E. Memorial Garden: Many times society overlooks the pain of mom's-to-be who have lost a baby through stillbirth, miscarriage or abortion. We offer a place of remembrance for women, who have lost babies, to come and grieve their loss and find closure. As a final step of grief counselling, these women are able to place a plaque in the garden in memory of their lost child. Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT): We aim to bring hope in the midst of this crisis by equipping our clients with practical, relevant knowledge and know-how which will help them to make informed decisions in their everyday life. HIV affects everyone, therefore everyone has the power to make a difference!
