Thank you, Brian Lange, for today—just two days before the 55th anniversary of this remarkable fish being speared by Hennie Coetsee on 28 November 1970—and for bringing it back to Leopard Corner Lodge in St Lucia.

This historic Brindle Bass mould, though timeworn and damaged, will now be shipped to its original creator, Neil Davidson, for a full restoration.

We were fortunate to receive a few more photos from Ian Coetsee, Hennie’s son, on 26/11/2025, which we posted and shared together with the other photos we had.
