Is VEGANISM supporting you enough?
I really do understand why a person does not eat animals. My heart ACHES for the suffering commercially raised protein goes through. But even the Dalai Lama was advised to eat a portion of red meat once a month for health. His body NEEDS the hemoglobin boost red meat gives. He duly prays and thanks the animal for its sacrifice before consuming.

Consuming 100 grams of protein in non-animal sources of food is REALLY difficult. Vegan sources of protein may have some protein, but they are also HIGH in carbohyydrates. A pea protein shake has to have unnaturally high portions of peas to make 30 grams of protein - so the carbohydrate/calorie quotient is high too.

For those on the Vegan path, SUPPLEMENTATION is going to have to be part of your eating plan. Vital Amino Acids such as L-Tyrosine for dopamine support, thyroid function and muscle growth is just not available in the quantities a person needs in spinach!!

This is how you could get enough protein into your daily diet to support a healthy body but lowering insulin levels is going to be TOUGH!
