🌿 Hello Sandbaai & Hermanus 🌿
My name is Dr Daphne Durr, and I am truly grateful to introduce myself as a General Practitioner newly established in Sandbaai.
I graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2016 and went on to complete a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology through the College of Medicine South Africa in 2019. Although I have a special interest in women’s health, I absolutely love caring for patients of all ages — from the tiniest newborns to the wisest grandparents. Caring for families across every season of life is such a privilege.
This practice has been a dream on my heart for some time, and I truly believe it is a calling to serve this community. My hope is that every person who walks through my doors will feel welcomed, valued, seen, and heard. Medicine is not only about treating illness — it is about compassion, dignity, and walking alongside people in both joyful and challenging seasons.
On a personal note, I am married to my wonderful husband, John-William Durr and we are blessed with two gorgeous boys, with our little princess soon to join our family. We love living in Hermanus and being part of this beautiful community. You’ll often find me starting my mornings with a cold plunge in the ocean — a moment of gratitude before the day begins.
