My name is Prof. Celene Bernstein, your health mentor, a graduate of Applying Functional Medicine in The Hybrid Diet mimics the body's evolutionary design.

I continually keep up to date with the latest research and studies in nutrition and this has brought me to the Keto/Low Carb and Hybrid diet choice of eating, not only to lose weight but also to improve many unresolved health issues as well. People love this way of eating because one of the main side effects is that you never feel hungry. Besides significant weight loss, Keto/Low Carb and Hybrid diet fans also report feeling more clearheaded and full of energy. I strongly believe that permanent weight loss/improved health can only be achieved by correct eating, together with exercise, sufficient sleep, the right mind-set and having a personal coach to keep you on the straight and narrow. I feel everybody needs continual support until they become familiar with their particular protocol. The rise of “on line and social media” so called support is immeasurable , but true quality hands on support is invaluable and that is where I come in. The Ketogenic Diet/Low Carb/Hybrid Diet is a way of eating that is very low in dietary carbohydrates. This eating plan emphasizes high-fat, moderate-protein, low-carb and low glycaemic load foods. Eating this way restricts carbohydrates to a level that results in the body switching to burning fat for fuel with a wealth of health and performance benefits instead of burning glucose for fuel. Benefits of this lifestyle include; burning fat and regulating body fat healthily, reversing diseases, improving blood sugar & insulin levels, increasing energy, improving clarity and kicking those pesky cravings in the butt! This way of eating is not a crash diet for short-term weight loss; it’s more a way of committing to a longer-term healthy lifestyle with a few changes that might be necessary . We are 'hybrid' and can run on glucose from carbs and ketones from our body fat. Doing the Hybrid Diet enables the body to thrive on two fuels: ketones generated from fat or glucose from carbs. Alternating between the two is the hottest health secret. My mission is to promote healthy weight loss, cancer prevention and prevention of chronic diseases. As this new year opens, I find myself less interested in counting resolutions and more in counting gratitude.
For the people who stood beside me in big moments and small ones.
For family who anchor us, friends who lift us, and colleagues who inspire growth, courage, and purpose.
For conversations that healed, challenges that taught, laughter that carried us through, and even the difficult days that shaped us more gently than we expected.
May this year bring us moments of stillness in a busy world, clarity where there has been uncertainty, and health — of body, mind, and spirit — to truly enjoy what matters most.
