At some point in your past, making the "wrong" choice had negative consequences. Maybe a decision disappointed someone important. Maybe taking initiative backfired. Maybe being decisive was punished or mocked.

Your brain stored that pattern: "Decisions = danger."

Now, even when the stakes are relatively low, that old survival pattern activates. What looks like analysis paralysis is actually your brain trying to keep you safe using outdated information.

"Good people don't care about money."
"Charging a lot is greedy."
"If you really cared, you'd make it affordable."

These messages didn't just become thoughtsโ€”they became wired into how your brain assesses threat and safety.

When you consider charging appropriately, your brain runs a prediction: "If I charge this much, I'm a bad person. If I'm a bad person, I lose connection, respect, love."

๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ป'๐˜ ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—น. ๐—œ๐˜'๐˜€ ๐—ฒ๐˜…๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—น.

This is why logic doesn't work. You can know intellectually that proper pricing is sustainable business practice. But your brain is operating on a different level entirelyโ€”one where undercharging keeps you safe from moral judgment and social rejection.

As a Registered Counsellor and Executive Psychology Business Coach, I see this constantly: the pricing problem is actually an identity problem, rooted in survival patterns formed long before you started your business.

Brain-based approaches like Brainspotting resolve this at the sourceโ€”not by convincing you that you deserve more, but by updating the survival pattern that linked your worth to your willingness to undercharge.

Women with ADHD are told they're too sensitive. Too disorganised. Too much โ€” or not enough.

What they're rarely told is that they have a neurodevelopmental condition that has been systematically missed, because the diagnostic framework was built around how ADHD presents in boys.

In women, ADHD often looks like:

โ€ข Chronic anxiety and overwhelm that doesn't fully respond to treatment

โ€ข Perfectionism as a coping mechanism (if everything is perfect, nobody will notice the chaos)

โ€ข Intense emotional sensitivity and rejection dysphoria

โ€ข Exhaustion from years of masking โ€” appearing capable while struggling privately

โ€ข Hormonal fluctuations that directly worsen ADHD symptoms (oestrogen affects dopamine regulation)

When we think of ADHD hyperactivity, we often picture someone who can't sit stillโ€”fidgeting, pacing, bouncing off the walls.

But here's what many don't realize: hyperactivity isn't always visible.

For countless adultsโ€”particularly womenโ€”hyperactivity manifests internally as:
