We are called to honor what God has freely given us by stewarding it well, and that includes our bodies.
Caring for your body through regular exercise and nourishing food is one way to glorify Him. Choosing whole foods over heavily processed options, choosing sunlight, walking, and movement instead of remaining indoors and sedentary for hours, these are acts of stewardship. Over time, your body will serve you better in old age and support you in times of illness when it needs strength to fight.
When you care for your body, you’re equipping yourself with the energy, clarity, and capacity to serve God wholeheartedly and advance His kingdom with endurance.
Consistent, restorative sleep also honors God. It allows your mind to function properly, supports emotional and mental health, restores your body, and protects you from burnout.
Our bodies are not idols, but they are gifts. And gifts are meant to be stewarded faithfully for His glory.
“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” — 1 Corinthians 6:19–2
