World Stroke Day – 29 October

Every minute counts. A stroke can change a life in an instant, but early recognition and rehabilitation make recovery possible.

Physiotherapists play a vital role in helping stroke survivors regain strength, movement, and independence, one step at a time.

*STROKE - KNOW THE SIGNS*
Knowing the signs and symptoms of a stroke could save your life!

*SYMPTOMS and SIGNS*
*F-A-S-T* is a simple way to remember the signs of a stroke. It’s important to seek medical help urgently if any of these signs are present.
*F* = Face — Ask the person to smile and check if the face is drooping
*A* = Arms — Ask the person to raise both arms – check for weakness in the arms
*S* = Speech — Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase – see if they have difficulty speaking
T* = Time — If the person fails any part of the above it’s time to call for emergency medical assistance

Get medical assistance as soon as possible - the faster you get help, the better the chances of survival and recovery.

🙌AND THATS A WRAP!🙌

Die trane le vlak maar ons harte is vol.

Vandag, 30 September 2025, was ons laaste dag as AvT Fisioterapeute SECUNDA. Next stop…Kathu!

Ek lag soos wat ek hierdie tik want 90% van ons patiente wat ek die laaste paar weke moes behandel wou meer kom klets vir oulaas en die ander 10% het al maande pyn, maar ek wat verhuis was hul motivering om gou te kom vir n “quick-fix” behandeling voor ek vertrek.🤣🤣

Dankie Secunda, dat jul my vertrou het met jul skete en pyne. Jul was nog altyd net goed vir my, my gesin en my besigheid.✝️

My wens vir elkeen van my patiente, is dat julle nuwe pyne ernstig genoeg sal wees om vir my in Kathu te MOET kom kuier😉.
