Managing Diabetes can be challenging as it is a VERY complex disease! A Registered Dietitian who completed ADVANCED COURSES in the management of Diabetes and who works as a Diabetes Educator is equipped to guide you on:
1. Understanding the disease - it is not so easy as just type 1 or type 2 as there are many different classifications, and many metabolic pathways are involved
2. How your medication work
3. How to titrate you insulin and correct injection technique if you are using insulin or GLP1 medication
4. Carb counting when injecting insulin
5. The correct individual eating plan whether you are using insulin or using oral blood glucose lowering medication
6. Providing support on your journey
