We are proud to offer Diabetic Retinopathy screenings
This advanced technology helps detect early signs of diabetic retinopathy, one of the leading causes of preventable vision loss.

Why do regular screenings matter?
• Diabetic eye disease can progress without symptoms in the early stages.
• Early detection allows treatment before vision is affected.
• Annual screenings are recommended for all people living with diabetes.
Our AI screening is quick, comfortable, and requires no eye drops.
This screening is covered by Discovery Health if you are registered as a diabetic under PMB.
Cash option also available (price on request).

What is Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP)?

RP is a rare, genetic eye condition that causes gradual vision loss over time.
Common symptoms include:
• Night blindness (trouble seeing in the dark)
• Gradual loss of side (peripheral) vision, also called “tunnel vision”
• Difficulty with central vision (reading, fine details)
• Trouble seeing colours
RP can be diagnosed with tests such as genetic testing, OCT scans, and visual field exams. While there is currently no single cure.
If you or a loved one has symptoms of RP, an eye exam with an ophthalmologist is the first step toward answers and support.

To book a consultation please phone 043 743 4334
