OT PATIENT SUCCESS STORY!

OT Intervenes senior patient Joseph Field suffered second degree burns on his hand after an unfortunate fall into a fire at home. His hand was completely stiff and his wounds were open and painful.

Our occupational therapy plan provided the necessary physical and emotional support during his rehabilitation, which helped restore full activity.

Owner and head OT Stacey Louisa Bock says: "Darling, Mr Field! He became almost like a grandfather to us in the practice. His injury meant he was unable to engage in any normal activities of daily living and required assistance.

"At the end of our sessions, Mr Field was driving his own car again, and his wounds were completely healed. His full active range of motion was completely restored, and aesthetically the hand looked pleasing to the eye. He left our practice smiling and fully independent."

It's with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our receptionist Alichia Diergaardt, who has played such an influential role with us for the past 18 months.

Some special words from OT Intervenes owner and Occupational Therapist Stacey Louisa Bock: "A mere year and a half but I dread the thought of having to manage my practice without you! You have been integral to the growth of OT Intervenes, Alichia.

"You hardly ever taking sick leave, and never taking annual leave! You hold my practice as close to your heart as I do. This was as much as your business baby as it was mine. I am eternally thankful for the year and a half, and I know that you will achieve more than you can ever imagine or think in your beautiful life. I'm cheering you on! Blessings and love!"

We wish Alichia well as she heads into a new chapter in 2021.
