We also encourage the community members to use local clinics and bring a referral letter from a local clinic or private Doctor when you visit the hospital.

Today 23rd April 2026, Far East Rand Hospital had pleasure of hosting the Ekurhuleni District Infrastructure Workshop under guidance of DDG Mr X. Galada, with participation from all hospital CEOs and district officials. The workshop concluded successfully with key infrastructure priorities identified

Key issues discussed: Aging Infrastructure; Service Delivery Impact; Urgent Interventions areas; CleanHospitals Support; Monitoring & Accountability

FERH Exec, Infrastructure mantainance led by CEO S. Lindani, conducted a Gemba walk again today in Medical and Surgical units Casualty & other units to support staff, resolve issues, and motivate teams. To our staff members we see you and thank you for your commitment in serving.

Compliment for Far East Rand Regional Hospital.

I just want to thank the Hospital, staff. My mother fell last week Monday and fractured her Hip.The Staff , Nurses and security were all excellent at the Emergency Ward even as it was crazy busy at the emergency room. And under the heavy strain managed to get my mother sorted and in a bed. She ended up in the Women's Orthopedic ward where the nurses were even more Excellent.From the Monday she was admitted to the next Monday she was operated on and released on the 15 of April. Awesome service.
