We received so much love for Diabetes Awareness on World Diabetes Day yesterday! From type 1 warriors, to people living with type 2 diabetes, family members and friends of those living with diabetes, healthcare workers treating individuals with diabetes and just the community in general. Overwhelmed and blessed by all the blue support. THANK YOU FOR HELPING TO RAISE AWARENESS FOR DIABETES! 🤍🩵💙

Tomorrow is WORLD DIABETES DAY! I encourage everyone to wear blue for diabetes awareness... 🩵 Whether you have diabetes, are taking care of someone with diabetes, are involved in treating those living with diabetes, know or have known someone with diabetes or just want to support us in raising awareness for diabetes. Together we can fight, prevent and embrace diabetes... one of the top 10 global causes of death! 💙

SUPERGIRL shout-out:

This dietitian colleague of mine, Janke Draper Registered Dietitian & Lactation Consultant, knows I often refer to her as supergirl. Why? Well, in short, she basically handles life (and all of its lemons) like a supergirl.

Janke Draper does not only have a master's degree in dietetics, but she's also currently busy with her PhD.

All of this she does while also raising four boys, working full-time, and serving on ADSA'S executive committee. Despite the above, she still makes time to follow an active and healthy lifestyle.

Janke is passionate about her career and outstanding in her field!

What I appreciate most is her willingness to, even though we work independently, always share her knowledge and expertise with me whenever I need it.

What a woman!
