We are thrilled to report that Friesland Extra Virgin Olive Oil was awarded a Gold at the SA Olive Awards 2020! We are very grateful to all those who have helped and guided us through the many lessons along the way. Personally, I think this is the best oil we have produced to date - a fragrant, complex, well-balanced blend of early season Frantoio and late season Leccino cultivars, with positive attributes of fruit of green and ripe Olives, olive leaf, artichoke, almond and walnut. Packed with antioxidant, free radical-fighting polyphenols, this medium style oil will enhance and bring out the best in a variety of dishes. Try it with grilled and fried fish and meat, or drizzled over green salads, sautéed vegetables and pasta dishes, and also for baking and in hearty soups. And, of course, don't forget to dip a hunk of fresh crusty bread into it, at least once a day :).
