I set aside 50 min for a session. I prefer seeing patients once a week, especially at the beginning of the therapeutic process. However, I take the unique needs and circumstances of each patient into account when deciding on, and continuing with their therapeutic process.

My practice charges medical aid rates for sessions. In some instances, such as in the case of depression or anxiety, I’m able to motivate for prescribed minimum benefits (PMB) with your medical aid. Your medical aid can allow a maximum of 15 therapy sessions, or 21 days in a clinic when it approves your PMB-application, regardless of your particular aid plan.

I specialize in health and depth psychology and received formal training in several therapeutic models on a continuous basis for the past 14 years. My doctoral research focused on family resilience and coping in dealing with depression. At the moment I’m intrigued by and reflect on which therapeutic interventions really help patients resolve emotional suffering with lasting effect. I’ve continued my work in this regard by enrolling for a two-year post-graduate qualification specializing in mindfulness at Stellenbosch University.
