Kinderkinetics is a profession that aims to promote & optimize the neuromotoric development of young children (0-12 years) through scientifically based physical activity. All programs within this profession have a preventative, simulating, developing and rehabilitative nature. In summary, it has the following goals:

•Promote functional growth and proper motor development of young children
•Focus on certain movement activities to promote/facilitate sport specific skills
•Implement appropriate rehabilitation programmes for children with growth and/or developmental disabilities in order to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle.
• Ensures school readiness, and promotes optimal emotional, muscular and psychological well-being. (psycho-motor approach similar to play therapy) It includes the stimulation of the sensory-motor and sensory integrated systems, for proper ocular control, cognitive ability and motor planning possibilities together with problem solving abilities. Jolly Tots Kinderkinetics presents a form of therapy to promote optimal development of a child on levels of: emotional, social, physical and and psychological well-being. This programme is rehabilitative and preventive of nature and will be presented as an advancement to suit the developmental and physical needs of your child as determined through scientifically based evaluations. Correction and improvement of the physical development of babies, toddlers and young children, prove to have benefits for their health as well as their total wellbeing.

Active play is a powerful tool to disrupt sedentary behaviour in young children.

When kids move, play and explore, they build stronger bodies, sharper minds and healthier emotional regulation.

Research shows children aged 2–6 need 3 hours of movement daily, while older kids and teens need at least 60 minutes of physical activity.

Week 8 was all about teamwork!
This week we invited parents to join their little ones in class, and it was pure JOY.

From sit-ups and high-fives to bunny hops, tunnel pushes, balancing and foam-pit races, our teamwork-based activities helped build strength, confidence, body awareness, balance and motor planning in the most fun way.

These parent-child moments are everything. Thank you for helping us end Term 4 with so much laughter, movement and togetherness!

Our goal is to support core stability, posture, endurance and school readiness. Strong muscles help children sit upright, focus better, and develop the fine motor control needed for writing and cutting. 💛

These playful activities build upper body strength, grip control, and bilateral coordination (the ability to use both sides of the body together).
This skill is essential for everyday tasks like dressing, cutting with scissors, catching balls, and handwriting.

At Jolly Tots Kinderkinetics, rolling is one of our favourite ways to help children explore movement, build coordination, and strengthen those little core muscles.

From log rolls to forward and backward rolls, each tumble teaches body awareness, directional movement, and motor planning. These are all vital skills for school readiness and everyday play.

Try it at home: spread out a soft mat or blanket and roll side to side, forwards, or backwards. It is simple, safe, and so much fun!

At Jolly Tots Kinderkinetics, we turn playful movement into learning with fun balance activities for kids that develop gross motor skills, core strength, and coordination. From walking balance beams to wobbly stepping games, every step helps children discover body awareness and control.

Some babies may skip crawling and go straight to walking, but encouraging crawling—through tummy time, floor play, and play-based movement—lays an essential foundation for learning and motor development.

Floor play and reflexes that integrate are the perfect precursors for crawling and developing. Uneven surfaces, and changing direct environment through equipment are great ways to encourage crawling= different size pillows, balls of all sizes and moving objects.
