Care Workers Needed – Greater Somerset West Area

Homeleigh Nursing Services is seeking compassionate, reliable Care Workers to join our home-based care team in the Greater Somerset West area.

This role is ideal for carers who are willing to work live-in shifts and who are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care in clients’ homes.

Key Responsibilities
-Assist clients with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities
-Provide companionship and emotional support
-Support clients with basic health-related needs as per care plans
-Maintain a safe, respectful, and dignified care environment
-Communicate effectively with supervisors and family members

Minimum Requirements
-Proven experience as a Care Worker / Carer
-Valid driver’s licence (strongly preferred)
-Willingness to work live-in, shift-based placements
-Ability to work independently and responsibly
-Good communication skills (English required; Afrikaans an advantage)
-Clear criminal record and contactable references

To our clients and families: thank you for trusting Homeleigh with your care, your homes, and your loved ones. It is a responsibility we carry with great respect. Walking alongside you—through recovery, change, and often uncertainty—has been an honour.

To our staff: your compassion, resilience, and professionalism have been the backbone of everything we do. Whether providing hands-on care, coordinating services, or supporting operations behind the scenes, your commitment has not gone unnoticed. We are sincerely grateful for each of you.
