To all my clients
I understand that everyone is hugely stressed and panicked about the COVID 19 situation in South Africa . Please try to stay calm and adhere to the following . Any person that has been In contact with a known case or suspected case , or has travelled to a country where community spread has occurred should self isolate for 14 day’s. Anyone that is ill with suspected symptoms should call the NICD hotline number on 0800029999 or Call the practice on 021 534 0559 or 021 534 0645 . We will assist telephonically and direct you so that you receive the correct management and at the same time not exposing anyone else to the virus . Please DO NOT GO TO a health care establishment . The first point of contact is telephonically . If you require any information the dept of health also has a what’s app number :0600123456... just say hi and you will be assisted .
I would recommend that people try to stay home as much as possible , don’t attend any large gatherings , wash your hands for at least 20 seconds, don’t touch your face eyes and nose , and don’t hoard items that are not going to help you fight this disease . Be aware that health care personnel require Personal
Protective equipment(ppe) to help those that are ill and if these are not available and kept by healthy people at home ,Health care workers will start falling ill and there won’t be health care personnel to assist those that need medical assistance . Let’s be responsible , kind and unite to flatten the curve and stop the spread of COVID 19 .
