A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Hospital Board

The staff and management of Uitenhage Provincial Hospital (UPH) would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to our dedicated Hospital Board. In a short time, they have made a significant impact in transforming our hospital, fostering partnerships with businesses, NPOs, and the community at large.

Their passion for patient care and commitment to ensuring community participation in hospital issues is truly commendable. We are grateful to have such committed individuals advocating for the needs of our community.

The Hospital Board recently joined community members in a cleaning campaign on 05 December 2025, demonstrating their hands-on approach to community engagement. We thank them for their tireless efforts.

We also appreciate Avbob for sponsoring refreshments after the campaign, showing their support for our community initiatives.

Christmas Comes Early for Uitenhage Provincial Hospital Children

In a heartwarming celebration, Uitenhage Provincial Hospital's young patients were treated to an early Christmas surprise. Private donors from Volkswagen (VW), led by Tracy, generously showered gifts on children attending Outpatient Department (OPD) services.

The festive atmosphere was filled with laughter and joy as Father Christmas brought smiles to the children's faces. Mr. Khaya Mbewu,CEO, expressed gratitude to the donors and organizers, emphasizing the importance of investing in the future of the children. He highlighted that nurturing and caring for children is crucial in preparing them for a brighter future.

The hospital extends its sincere appreciation to Tracy and the VW team for spreading festive cheer and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our young patients.

Today was a lively day at Uitenhage Provincial Hospital as Afrisave visited the hospital to provide meals to patients in the Outpatient Department (OPD).
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Afrisave for their generous donation, demonstrating true partnership with the hospital and embodying the spirit of ubuntu.

Afrisave's commitment to supporting patients' nutritional needs is commendable,recognising that many arrive early without taking breakfast.

We invite others businesses to follow Afrisave's example.Together we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
