Congratulations to the Gateway TAVI team Dr Asherson, Dr Winter, and Dr Padoa who successfully completed their 150th transcatheter aortic valve replacement this week in a procedure that took only 40 minutes under local anaesthetic.

TAVI is a life-changing procedure and is now the treatment of choice for the majority of older patients with severe aortic stenosis. Credit also to the skill, care, dedication, and teamwork of the cath lab and ICU1 nursing staff.

Mr Ferguson featured in the image with Dr Asherson was officially the 150th TAVI patient to receive treatment at Busamed Gateway Private Hospital.

Well done to all on this amazing milestone.
