We are passionate about helping you to achieve a healthy, clear and youthful looking skin. We offer services in medical dermatology looking at conditions such as acne , hair loss, pigmentation, psoriasis, eczema and infections among others. With the skin cancer incidence on the rise we also offer thorough skin cancer screening and excision of minor lesions, As Prevention is better that cure. We offer skin care for the entire family. Our rooms are situated in an easily accessible and wheelchair friendly medical centre opposite the Umhlanga hospital, in very close proximity to the Gateway shopping centre. There is plenty of onsite parking and security.

Throwback to last Saturday when I attended the Skin Cancer Symposium 🤓

Skin cancer is the most common cancer is South Africa and it doesn't discriminate, regardless of your race, age or size, you can be at risk of getting skin cancer! 💯

When in doubt or you have any changing lesions, just remember the ABC's...
A - abnormal or asymmetrical looking moles.
B - border around your mole or lesion.
C - changing moles, marks or lesions.

Starting isotretinoin (aka Acnetane, Oratane, Roaccutane, Acnetret, Supatane) can feel intimidating and I completely understand why. There’s a lot of scary information online and not all of it is balanced or accurate.

The truth is, the experience differs from person to person. For many patients, it’s far more manageable than expected and sometimes the anxiety around starting outweighs the actual side effects. When used correctly and monitored closely, it can also be a cost effective option in the long run for persistent or severe acne. Some side effects like the dry lips can’t be avoided unfortunately, but can be managed with proper guidance.
