Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus causing inflammation, scarring, and often severe pain.
It can affect the ovaries, fallopian tubes, bowel, bladder and other pelvic organs.
Common symptoms include:
• Debilitating period pain
• Chronic pelvic pain
• Pain during in*******se
• Heavy or irregular bleeding
• Fatigue
• Infertility
Severe period pain is often dismissed as “normal.”
It is not always normal.
Diagnosis can take years. There is no cure yet, but symptoms can be managed with the right medical support.
