MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT
SALDANHA ROAD.

On Sunday afternoon West Coast Medical Rescue responded to reports of a vehicle that overturned on Saldanha Road.

Upon arrival one patient was assessed and treated for moderate injuries before being transported by Metro EMS Ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.

SAPS and Saldanha Bay Fire and Rescue attended the scene.

West Coast Medical Rescue is currently on scene with multiple Ambulances at a serious collision involving two vehicles at Sunrise energy.

One patient has been transported in a serious but stable condition to a nearby Hospital for further care.

Metro EMS Rescue and Western Cape Provincial Traffic services are on scene.

West Coast Medical Rescue would like to share some exciting news with the community of Langebaan and the West Coast.

We have added a second ambulance to our fleet stationed in Langebaan.

This not only enhances our operational capabilities in Langebaan but also throughout the West Coast.

This Advanced Life Support Ambulance brings a team of dedicated Advanced Life Support Paramedics to compliment the Advanced Life Support team already stationed in Langebaan.

These vehicles are ICU equipped and basically brings intensive care to the patient.

SALTPANS.

West Coast Medical Rescue is currently on scene at a collision on the bridge entering Velddrif.

Reports from scene indicate two patients sustained injuries.

Two vehicles collided and one vehicle left the roadway causing it to fall from the bridge.

Metro EMS Rescue was dispatched for assistance.

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT.
MALMSBURY.
SWARTLAND.

West Coast Medical Rescue would like to share some exciting news with the community of Swartland.

We will soon be operational in the Malmesbury area with permanent Advanced Life Support Ambulances after receiving approval from the Western Cape Department of Health.

The only formality is for an official inspection of the ambulances taking place very soon and thereafter we will be good to go.

This comes as a milestone adding this much needed Advanced Life Support Service to the Swartland community.

Keep an eye out for the official launch of our Malmsbury operations.

MEDIA STATEMENT

West Coast Medical Rescue is aware of a very vague facebook post making the rounds on community groups around the west coast stating that a Local Ambulance Service is being investigated for negligence.

We received numerous messages from concerned community members who knows the Service and commitment that West Coast Medical Rescue provides for the west coast.

To our knowledge no form of any investigation whether for a negligence or criminal case has been registered against West Coast Medical Rescue and we have not received any notification of such.

We urge the public to refrain from posting such posts on social media about any organization as it can be damaging even though no institutions names has been mentioned in such. In this post it states that the ambulance personnel deliberately took the life of the patient which we belive is HIGHLY UNLIKELY as all Paramedics Fights for the life of their patients on a daily basis in sometimes some of the harshest and dangerous environments.

These very Ambulance Services in the West Coast do their utmost best to serve the community with passion ,dignity and efficiency.

Private and Government Ambulance Services alike are strongly regulated by strict regulations by the Western Cape Department of Health.

We would like to encourage the author of this vague post to rather take such allegations on directly with the party involved rather than using social media as there are only a hand full of Ambulances in the West coast and such posts can easily mislead the public
