Leonie Smit (Spraakterapeut) is tans besig met haar kwalifikasie as borsvoedingskonsultant. Om aan al die vereistes te voldoen het sy praktiese ure nodig. Sy is opsoek na swanger mammas en mammas wat Borsvoed wat sy kan bedien met hulp, opleiding en ondersteuning met hul borsvoedingspad.

Die kwalifikasie word deur SACLC gedoen.

Die diens sal gratis wees aangesien sy besig is met die kwalifikasie.

A core component of an Autism diagnosis is social differences. Most people tend to look at this as a black & white, yes or no, present or absent manner- but that’s not how it works.

Many (most) Autistic people are socially motivated and seek out interactions and relationships with others. But, this might look different for autistic people as compared to neurotypical people. A super common difference is being OVERLY social.

It’s important to highlight that many differences are subtle and nuanced in a way that results in Autistic people being viewed as “quirky,” “odd,” “socially awkward,” “weird,” etc - instead of recognizing them for what they actually are… Autistic! But knowing one is autistic can literally save a person’s life ❤️

Autism in girls (and AFAB) often presents in non-stereotypical ways which can make it difficult for them to access a diagnosis.

HOWEVER, it’s also super common for girls to have the *same* traits as boys and still go un-diagnosed because of how their actions are interpreted.

All genders can be Autistic and it’s important to look for *patterns of differences* which can range from subtle to clear ❤️♾️🌈
