Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend and that your new week is off to a gentle, great start.

I was thinking of doing something a little different this week, and yesterday turned out to be just what I needed. We decided to go out and fish at a spot we’ve never been to before. At first, we looked around nearby to see if we could find somewhere close to fish, but it wasn’t easy finding good spots. Eventually, we drove about 55 km out and found the most peaceful place to fish.

It turned into such a fun day. My husband actually used to fish about ten years ago, and believe it or not, he caught a Carp on his very first try at this new spot! I’m still learning, but I have to admit — I’m hooked. There’s something about the quiet, the water, and that little thrill of waiting for a bite that just feels so calming and grounding.

We’re already making plans to fish again next weekend, this time on a private farm where I’ll get to practice casting and throwing properly. This week, he’s also teaching me how to tie three different knots, and I’ve been learning what works best to catch certain fish. We do catch and release, so it’s all about the experience and not harming them.

I’ll share some pictures and clips from yesterday because it was such a refreshing break from routine.

How was your weekend? I’d love to know what you got up to — and I hope the week ahead treats you kindly.

When my husband and I looked back on the friendships we had as a couple, we started noticing patterns. Some people were only around when it suited them — when there was something to gain, or when they needed our help.

It took a while to realize that not every friendship is meant to last a lifetime. Some are meant to teach you lessons about boundaries, loyalty, and self-respect.

We’ve learned that having a smaller, healthier circle brings far more peace than having a large one filled with uncertainty or pretense. These days, we choose connection over convenience, and authenticity over appearance.

Our peace matters more than being socially busy. We’ve found comfort and trust in each other — and honestly, that’s where our wellness thrives.
Healthy relationships don’t drain you; they ground you.

And sometimes, the healthiest circle is the one that simply feels safe.

We check our phones more times a day than we realize. Notifications, scrolling, and endless screens — all stealing quiet moments that could be healing our minds.

What if you took 30 days to disconnect… and rediscover mental clarity, better sleep, and real connection?

My latest wellness article explores how a 30-day digital detox can help you find balance again — without needing to go offline completely.

I remember a time when I had people in my life who constantly left me feeling emotionally exhausted. At first, I thought it was just me being too sensitive. But over time, I realized it wasn’t sensitivity — it was awareness.

There are people who, often without realizing it, feed off others’ emotional energy. They take more than they give — with constant drama, negativity, or by always needing you to rescue them from their chaos.

And if you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself emotionally depleted without understanding why.

These are what I call “energy vampires.” They’re not always bad people, but they can be bad for your health. They keep you in a cycle of emotional burnout, leaving little room for your own peace, creativity, or joy.

Recognizing when a friendship no longer supports your growth is not selfish — it’s self-preservation. Protecting your energy is one of the most important acts of self-care you’ll ever commit to.

Hey everyone,

I know I’ve been a little quiet since Thursday — last week turned into one of those busy ones where everything seemed to happen at once. By Friday, my husband and I decided to take a much-needed breather. We went shopping, and since he had the day off, we turned it into a little date night — something we hadn’t done in a while and honestly, it was so needed.

I’m sorry for disappearing without saying anything — I know I usually check in more often. I’ll be back online later today after hubby’s lunch to catch up with everyone.

Hope you’re all having an amazing start to the week — make it a good one and take a little time for yourself too.

Love,
Nadia 🩷🩷

Have you ever noticed how some people leave you feeling lighter, inspired, and recharged — while others leave you completely drained?

That’s not your imagination. Your social circle plays a much bigger role in your overall health than most people realize. The energy of the people around you — their attitudes, habits, and even their emotional state — directly influence your own.

I’ve had friendships in my life that I used to walk away from feeling tired for no reason. Back then, I couldn’t quite explain it, but now I understand it was because I was constantly giving more energy than I was receiving. When you’re surrounded by people who don’t pour back into you, it starts to show up in your mood, your body, and even your motivation.

This week, we’re exploring how the relationships you keep can either be a wellness asset — or a liability.

Because wellness isn’t just about food, exercise, or rest — it’s also about who you allow into your space.

Here’s the practical side — how to actually use cognitive offloading to support your mental health.

Start small. You don’t need a fancy system. You just need a reliable place to put what’s in your head.

Try these three simple steps:
1. Brain Dump Daily: Take 5 minutes to write down everything on your mind — from the grocery list to that one worry that keeps circling.
2. Create an Offload Space: Use a journal, a digital notes app, or even voice memos. The key is consistency — not the medium.
3. Review, Don’t Ruminate: Go back occasionally to see what you’ve stored. You’ll notice patterns, memories, and progress that help you understand yourself better.

I’ve done this for years, and I can honestly say — it has been one of the most grounding mental health tools I’ve ever used. My brain feels lighter, clearer, and more creative when it’s not forced to hold onto everything at once.

Your mind was made for thinking, not storage.

So, what’s one thing you can offload today?

22/10/2025

Let’s talk about why cognitive offloading works — and why it’s more than just a productivity hack.

Your brain is constantly juggling — tasks, emotions, conversations, reminders — and that takes a toll. When you keep everything “open” in your mind, it’s like running too many programs on a computer. Eventually, it slows down, overheats, and starts glitching.

Offloading thoughts reduces cognitive load — the mental effort your brain uses to process, store, and recall information. By externalizing what’s in your mind, you free up space for focus, creativity, and emotional regulation.

It’s not about being forgetful. It’s about being strategic. You’re creating a system that supports your brain, instead of overworking it.

Personally, when I write things down, I can literally feel the mental weight lift. It’s as if the noise quiets down, and I can finally think clearly again.

And interestingly, research backs this up — offloading can reduce stress levels, improve memory for important details, and enhance decision-making because you’re not mentally cluttered.

Happy New week everyone,

This week I want to talk about something that has truly changed how I manage my mental energy — Cognitive Offloading.

If you’ve ever felt like your brain has too many tabs open at once, you’ll understand why this topic matters. Cognitive offloading is simply the act of storing thoughts, memories, and information outside of your mind — whether that’s through writing, voice notes, apps, or journaling.

For me, it’s been a practice for over ten years. I’ve written down memories, ideas, even random thoughts that needed a place to land. Sometimes, I go back through old notes and find moments I completely forgot about — small windows into who I was then.

Writing things down doesn’t just clear mental clutter; it gives you room to breathe. It turns chaos into clarity.

So this week, we’re diving into the mental health benefits of getting things out of your head and into a space that supports you — whether that’s on paper or a screen.
