World Autism Awareness Day – 2 April 2026
World Autism Awareness Day is observed every year on 2 April to increase understanding, acceptance, and support for people living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Autism is a developmental condition that affects how individuals communicate, interact socially, and experience the world. It is called a “spectrum” because it presents differently in each person—some individuals may need significant support, while others live independently.
This day reminds us to:
-Promote inclusion and acceptance
-Encourage early diagnosis and intervention
-Support individuals with autism and their families
-Celebrate neurodiversity and the unique strengths of people with autism
Let’s work together to create a more inclusive and understanding environment for everyone.
