My plan for the weekend is to mix some new oil blends and some fragrances for my home.
My beautiful, (naughty but ever so sweet) sheep ewe lamb, Snowflake got into my Lemongrass that I struggled to grow from seeds 🙈🥺...
It came up again, but not with the same volume as before. I was going to use them to tie the;
flowers, leaves, camphor tree leaves and fresh herbs - together.
I then put it in an Organza bag or in pieces of old Lace Curtains that I've cut up, pacjed full of fragrance and then put it in all my cupboards and under the beds.
Currently my Rose Geranium is growing like "kakiebos". So, bunches of them are going into the bags after they dried up a little bit!
There is no need to go out and buy "more stuff" to freshen up your cupboards and home.
RECYCLE....
I always try to save as much of old lace curtains (in Afrikaans- KANT GORDYNE) and cut them in circles.
As soon as summer really "settles" in, then I can start to pick flowers , plants and herbs etc. Normally, I make enough to last me a year.
Why I mention it is the blends as portrayed in this poster are fragrances I absolutely adore. When I smell it.... I feel refreshed and especially my thoughts clear up!
I get thirsty sometimes mixing oils especially when I didn't have enough water or fluids beforehand.
Which is brilliant 👏 😀. Because, my body started detoxing! Whenever I mix oils, I ALWAYS play around with different oils en in so doing will have oil on my hair, face, arms, neck, legs.. 😑😁😅
One needs patience to find the combination that works or doesn't work for you. For example, Lavender... It gives me migraine-like headaches.
Tip: Check the oils. See what you can use with your Chronic and Prescribed Medication. Remove ALL the oil you can't or should not use - give it to someone that can use it.
I use RECYCLED clothing here. You can even use pieces from your wedding gown- cut them in circles, the size of a Dinner plate.
If you have a silk-type gown with chiffon, tulle or lace - cut them also approximately the size of a Dinner plate.
🔆 First put the lace or chiffon down.
🔆 Then the dress material.
🔆 Line with batting, filler, whatever you have lying around in your sewing or craft room.
🔆 Decide where you want to tie it off, measure and cut the Filler below the tie-off point.
🔆 Take some of cotton pads or cotton balls, blend some oil, warm the oil slightly and wet the cotton ball with the oil.
🔆 Put the cotton the centre (it must not be dripping with oil).
🔆Pick up the sides to close it and tie a ribbon or string. Sometimes I even use embroidery cotton, especially the variegated varieties.
🔆 'Fluff' it out, make sure the top is even. Put a finished bag in each cupboard, the stronger ones in for example, the garage or shed.
What I like about doing it that way is;
~~~ When the oil's scent starts to diminish, untie the bow, remove the cotton ball or put your hairdryer on it to warm and heat up the cotton.
Drip oil onto it, put it back as you had it before. place them back in the cupboards. They are ready to go for the next couple of months, unless depending on the condition of the cotton pads- and you decide to swap it.
If you want to and you have the time you can make seams and make them pretty. I've been doing it now for almost 30 years... And we don't struggle with bugs or spiders in our:- clothing, bedding and towel -cupboards.
Remember: when you are pregnant, take the oils you have, research them thoroughly- which of them are high in ketones, phenolic etc.
Be very cautious ⚠️ just using any oils whilst pregnant!! (If you have a massage therapist, inform them of your pregnancy immediately ).
Be discerning.
Be informed.
Give these Oil combinations a try! 👇👇👇
Take a stroll through your garden, pick leaves, flowers and herbs smell them....
