Dis nie bedel nie, en ook nie vir my eie sak nie — dit gaan daaroor om ons samelewing ’n beter plek te maak. 🙏

Moenie alle dwelmverslaafdes oor dieselfde kam skeer nie. Daar is dié wat wíl regkom, wat weer op hul voete wil staan en ’n eerbare lewe wil lei. 💪✨

Soos baie van julle weet, het ek in 2016 ’n organisasie gestig om met verslaafdes te werk. Ons het al teleurstellings ervaar, maar ook pragtige suksesstories. 🌱 Ons gee nie moed op nie, want dit is wat die Almagtige van ons vra — om die stukkendes en verlorenes te help. ❤️

Jy kan ook help. Al is dit net R50 per maand, kan dit ’n groot verskil maak. 🤲 Ons vra dat jy nie kontant in hande gee nie, maar eerder direk in die organisasie se bankrekening skenk.

Van ons kliënte is op medikasie en sukkel om te konsentreer op ’n leë maag. 🍞🥣 Ons wil graag vir hulle iets bied om te eet — en dít is waar jy kan help.

Happy Social Workers Month 🌿💜

Both of them came to me straight after finishing varsity, feeling lost and at their wits’ end. I told them, “I may not have money, but I have experience that I’m willing to share.”

Today, both of them are remarkable Social Workers, doing their utmost best for their communities. I’m not bragging — I’m simply grateful that I had the opportunity to mentor these two young men and give them a platform to practice and grow their Social Work skills.

I feel like a proud father to them — always reprimanding them 🙈 and pushing them to do their level best. Today, the Department of Social Development and BOWL are reaping the rewards of that sacrifice.

They both started as volunteers, and today they are employed Social Workers. Through my SKeL, both of them even obtained their driver’s licenses.

Volunteering requires sacrifice — but what you put in, you will surely get out‼️
