Jumping/skipping with a skipping rope can be lots of fun, but can also be frustrating to master (even for adults)!

It is an amazing exercise, and involves focuses such as coordination, timing, rhythm, explosiveness, proprioceptive awareness, focus, motor planning, general motor control, muscular control and more! 💪

Ideally, neurotypical children should be able to jump 4 to 5 rhythmic jumps with a skipping rope with their feet working simultaneously, by the age of 6 to 7.

The client in this video, started with Kinderkinetics a year ago. His parents and I had our goals for the sessions, but he also had his own goals. One of them was to jump MANY jumps with a skipping rope.😁

So we got to work, breaking down the movement and practicing and practicing and practicing. From struggling to get one repetition, to successfully getting almost 30 jumps! I am so proud of you!

Behind the scenes: BROCHURES!

It's marketing and demonstration season for Kinderkineticists! Here is some insight to one of the tasks we do to prepare for the year and marketing at schools: preparing brochures. 🖇📃

How do you measure time? ⏳️

When I have to do a task that is monotonous and takes a while to complete, I like to add some music! And determine the time it took me to do the task with the number of songs I listened to during the task.🎶

Now how long did it take me to staple 200 forms into 200 brochures? It took me the full album: The Visitors from ABBA. 💃

200 down, 200 to go!
