Don’t Let Go. Keep On Going. 🌿
As we step into a new term, I took a moment to reflect on the past few months — the highlights and the challenges. Like many of you, balancing work, family, and health hasn’t always been easy. Some days felt overwhelming, and others deeply rewarding.
One of the most special moments was visiting a dear friend who recently turned 94. She was once oldest help worker at 87 — and she remains one of the most inspiring people I know.
I asked her what her secret is.
Her answer was simple, yet powerful:
“Never let go of yourself. Just keep on going.”
At 94, she still exercises every morning. She eats well, reads often, does puzzles, and keeps her mind and body active. Not through extremes — but through consistency.
This reminded me of what I’ve been learning through my studies on the Blue Zones — communities around the world where people live longer, healthier lives. One key lesson stands out:
It’s not intense workouts that make the biggest difference — it’s constant, natural movement.
Walking. Gardening. Being outdoors. Moving your body daily in a sustainable way.
This has inspired me to make small but meaningful changes in my own life and with my family — choosing more time outside, regular hikes, and simple, consistent habits. It’s not only effective, but also affordable and sustainable.
