Dr. George Chipulu Challenges Kabwe Central Hospital Staff to Raise the Bar in 2026

The Senior Medical Superintendent of Kabwe Central Hospital, Dr. George Chipulu, has challenged members of staff to raise the bar higher in 2026 as the hospital builds on the significant milestones achieved in 2025.

In his New Year remarks, Dr. Chipulu expressed sincere gratitude to staff for their dedication and commitment to duty, which contributed to the successful attainment of the hospital’s 2025 targets. He further thanked the Central Government, the Provincial Administration, and the Provincial Health Office for their continued support towards the hospital’s operations and development.

Above all, he acknowledged the patients and members of the public, who remain the core reason for the Hospital’s existence.

Hon. Member of Parliament for Kabwe Central Honourable Chrizoster Halwiindi Phiri Presents Baby Hampers to New Year Babies at Kabwe Central Hospital

Hon Halwiindi presented baby hampers to the six New Year babies delivered at Kabwe Central Hospital.

As of 08:00 hours, the hospital recorded six New Year deliveries, comprising two males and four females. Of these, five were delivered normally, while one was delivered via caesarean section. All mothers and babies are reported to be in good condition.

The Honourable Member of Parliament commended Kabwe Central Hospital staff for an incident-free New Year period and encouraged them to continue their dedication to duty and commitment to saving lives and ensuring the safety of the public. She further expressed gratitude to the Central Government for its continued support to the hospital, particularly in the areas of infrastructure development, medical and surgical supplies, and human resource support.

Early Christmas Cerebration With Triple Blessings.

A client from Makululu, Road 13, successfully delivered triplets at Kabwe Central Hospital in early hours of today via caesarean section.

Triplet 1: Female, weighing 1.4 kg, delivered at 07:20 hours

Triplet 2: Male, weighing 1.7 kg, delivered at 07:20 hours

Triplet 3: Female, weighing 1.5 kg, delivered at 07:21 hours.

All three babies were born in good condition with APGAR scores of 9/10.

Dr. Kanyumbu, an Obstetrician and Gynaecology Registrar and the lead surgeon, described the mother’s condition as stable, noting that she is recovering well from anaesthesia.

The babies have been admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) due to prematurity and are responding well to treatment. Dr *Hayumbu* , the acting Head of Department for NICU confirmed that all the babies are stable and responding well to care.

📍Kabwe Central Hospital OPD Expansion Reaches an Advanced Stage

In a bid to provide quality health care, Kabwe Central Hospital embarked on the expansion and refurbishment of the Outpatient Department (OPD).

A site check conducted this morning found the contractor on site, with works progressing steadily and at an advanced stage.

We look forward to the completion of the improved OPD, which will enhance patient flow, reduce congestion, and significantly improve service delivery to our clients.

Kabwe Central Hospital was honoured to host a visiting team of specialists from Lusaka last week, who dedicated their time and expertise to support this important initiative.

This programme is helping to restore communication, confidence, and quality of life for many individuals in our community.
