In the recent past the Mining industry in Zambia has faced a major loss of lives consecutively due reasons unknown but suspectd to be lack of safety measures.

The sector Mining is a very Hazardous working environment with Hazards including for example moving vehicles,
Manual handling / musculoskeletal injuries, Falls from heights, Rockfall, fall of sides, Vibration, Noise, Dust, Explosives.If these Hazards are not eliminated then the sector is likely to record more Accidents.

Health and Safety in Mining is very important because it refers to the practices, procedures, and regulations aimed at controlling and managing the various hazards associated with every step of the mining process, from exploration to reclamation.

If we prioritize and implement Health and Safety Management system, we will eliminate Deaths, Accidents and Injury.
