As we endeavour to offer quality and affordable eye health care, Kitwe Teaching Eye Hospital conducted a capacity building for 80 mid Level staff in Primary Eye Health Care to support the referral system and ensure early Indenfication of Eye Conditions. The Training was conducted at Sherbourne Lodge in Kitwe.

This was also done to strengthen integration, inclusion and Comprehensive Eye care services in the District.

Kitwe Teaching Eye Hospital extends deepest gratitude to the Jacaranda and Itimpi Lions Clubs for facilitating the visit of Dr. Finn an Optometrist from Denmark and for the invaluable free eye screening program for our Low Vision Patients.

Our Low Vision Patients and the people living with Albinism received exceptional care and support.

Thankyou for the wonderful initiative,many received, free reading glasses and people living with Albinism were provided with the much needed sunglasses and Sun Screen Creams .

Your generosity has made a significant difference in the lives of many, improving their vision and quality life.

Diabetic Eye Screening progragram awareness.

Kitwe Teaching Eye Hospital will be conducting a Diabetic Eye Screening program in Mufulira from Monday 17th November to Friday 21st November 2025.

The following are the sites where Screening shall take place:
1. Monday 17th- November-Suuburbs Clinic
2. Tuesday 18th- Twatasha Clinic
3. Wednesday 19th- Kansuswa Clinic
4. Thursday 20th- Ronald Ross Gen. Hospital
5. Friday- 21st Clinic 5

The Team will be at these centres on the stated dates from 09hrs to 16hrs.
