16 days of activism against GBV.

KTH proudly joined the global community in commemorating the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a period dedicated to raising awareness, promoting accountability, and inspiring collective action to end all forms of violence against women and girls.

This year’s event was graced by the Honorable Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Sylvia Masebo, who served as Guest of Honor. She was accompanied by the Copperbelt Minister, Hon. Elisha Matambo, along with senior government officials, representatives from various NGOs, political parties, civic leaders, members of the press, and the vibrant CBU student community.

Their presence reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring that the fight against gender-based violence remains a national priority. The collaboration among NGOs, institutions of higher learning, and civil society underscores the shared responsibility required to protect vulnerable groups and foster safe spaces for all.

The 16 Days of Activism campaign holds immense significance. It not only raises awareness but also serves as a powerful reminder to survivors that their voices matter. It encourages victims to speak out, seek help, and break the silence that too often surrounds abuse.

As emphasized throughout the event, ending gender-based violence demands unity, courage, and sustained action—at both institutional and community levels.

Together, we can build a society where violence has no place and every individual is treated with dignity.

A shout out to Our Generous Sponsors

We extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible partners who continue to support and uplift our NICU. Your generosity is making a meaningful difference in the care and comfort we provide to our little patients and their families.

Thank you for the remarkable renovation of our treatment room. Your support enabled the installation of new shelves and a sink with a base, fresh paint for the doors and corridor, and the creation of a dedicated nurse assessment bay. We are also grateful for the ongoing work to place a door before the assessment bay—improvements that greatly enhance our workflow and patient care environment.

Dalitso Chileleko Heart Foundation
We sincerely appreciate your donation of 50 folders and baby blankets. These items will help us maintain organized patient records and keep our babies warm and comfortable.

Excelling Women
Thank you for your thoughtful donation of a steel filing cabinet and baby blankets. Your contribution strengthens our administrative efficiency and supports the wellbeing of our newborns.

The Peruvian Community
We are deeply thankful for your donation of 1 hospital bassinet, bringing your total contribution to 6 bassinets this year. Your continued support ensures that more babies receive care in safe and appropriate equipment.

To all our sponsors: thank you for standing with us, for believing in our mission, and for helping us provide quality care to the tiniest members of our community. Your kindness continues to save and transform lives.
