Centering Women with Disabilities in the Reparations Agenda!

Disabled Women in Africa (DIWA) in coalition with African Disability Forum and Inclusion Africa through SIDA funding will host a side event in Banjul during the 85th Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR) Forum, bringing together activists, policymakers, and human rights defenders to spotlight the invisibility of women with disabilities in reparations discussions across Africa.

This dialogue seeks to reaffirm that justice, healing, and reparations must be inclusive, recognizing the unique experiences of women and girls with disabilities affected by violence, discrimination, and historical exclusion.
