📌 Understanding Blood Pressure Reading: Systolic, Diastolic & Pulse.
Notes for High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)
High blood pressure is when the force of blood pushing against the artery walls is too high for a long time. It strains the heart, damages blood vessels, and increases the risk of stroke, kidney failure, and heart disease.

🔹 Reading: Systolic, Diastolic & Pulse
1. Systolic Pressure (Top Number)
This is the pressure in your arteries when the heart contracts and pumps blood out.
It shows how hard your heart is working during each beat.
High systolic means your heart is under too much pressure.
2. Diastolic Pressure (Bottom Number)
This is the pressure in your arteries when the heart relaxes between beats.
It shows how much pressure remains in the blood vessels at rest.
High diastolic means your blood vessels are stiff or narrow.
3. Pulse (Heart Rate)
This is the number of times your heart beats per minute.
A normal pulse is 60–100 bpm.
A very high or low pulse can signal heart strain, stress, dehydration, or medication effects.

🔹 What These Numbers Mean Together
High Systolic + High Diastolic → Uncontrolled hypertension.
High Systolic only → Common in older adults; arteries may be stiff.
High Diastolic only → More common in younger people; blood vessels very tight.
High Pulse with High BP → The heart is under stress or overworking.
