Also known as Uterine myomas, Leiomyomas or fibromas are firm compact tumours that are made up by of smooth muscle cells and fibrous connective tissue that develop in the uterus.Basically,there are four bolts types of fibroids an they are named according to the location of the uterus that they are found on,that is1CERVICAL FIBROIDS occurs in the cervix,2 SUBMUCOSAL occurs in the womb cavity,3 SUBSEROSAL occurs in the outer Uterine tissue layer,4 INTRAMURAL occurs on the muscular wall of the womb.
SYMPTOMS include the following:1
Fertility problem
2 lower backache or leg pain
3 frequent urination
4 heavy and painful periods
5 anaemia
6 miscarriages
7 labour complications
8 constipation
