Global skills transfer: Dr. Willard Mumbi from Lusaka Eye Hospital during a one-week training session for ophthalmologists in Ghana, where 21 eye specialists from Accra, Kumasi, and nearby areas were equipped with hands-on experience in simulated surgeries to treat strabismus. The sessions were held aboard the Orbis Fly Eye Hospital, a DC-10 aircraft fully equipped for medical training. We are proud of Lusaka Eye Hospital’s expanding impact and international corporation, now reaching beyond Southern Africa into West Africa as well.

In the picture, is our paediatric ophthalmologist and Strabismus, Dr. Willard Mumbi , with the Vice President, Clinical Services and Technologies, for Orbis International, Dr Hunter Cherwek in Accra Ghana where Dr Willard Mumbi is a Volunteer Faculty, teaching surgical simulations to eye specialists in Ghana with The Orbis Fly Eye Hospital at Kotoka International Airport.
