Rapid Laboratory Services offers mobile Laboratory Services with a dedicated team of licensed health practisioners, we aim to deliver laboratory samples within 24hrs of order confirmation. We provide Covid-19 PanaBios Trusted Travel Certificate and Ministry of Health Travel Certification Services. Transportation of Biological Specimens between Hospitals, Clinical Laboratories, Medical Clinics,Homes and Offices. We offer Pick ups and Deliveries of Laboratory Samples and Specimens, Test Results Medicines, Medical Images and Medical Records.

Rapid Laboratory Services, in partnership with AMEX and the Chemonics Global Health Supply Chain program, has successfully delivered a consignment of 50,000 microscope slides to the Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA).

We successfully concluded a week-long Illumina NextSeq 2000 system overview and Viral Surveillance Panel (VSP) training conducted by Dr. Natasha Kitchin, PhD from SEPARATIONS at the Zambia National Public Health Institute (ZNPHI). The program combined expert-led presentations with practical, hands-on sessions covering sequencing workflows, library preparation, quality control, data analysis, and troubleshooting—significantly enhancing the capacity to deliver high-quality genomic surveillance and research for public health impact.

Day 2 of the Zambia Genomics Symposium 2025 wrapped up on a high note!
We were inspired by the incredible research shared around wastewater surveillance, Malaria, HIV, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) — all showcasing the transformative role of genomics in public health.
A major highlight was the presentation by Mr.Sahil Tulsi from Illumina on the MiSeq™️ i100 Series—the next-generation replacement for the legacy MiSeq, which will be phased out by 2029.
The MiSeq i100 brings simplified workflows, faster run times (as quick as 4 hr and < 2 hr), and impressive sustainability: Room-temperature shipment and storage of consumables. Empowering every lab, everywhere.

It was such honor to be Awarded the 2nd Prize of the Presidential Award. We extend our gratitude to
President Hakainde Hichilema and Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission - CEEC for the initiative of supporting the MSMEs in Zambia. Our journey began in October 2021, we took the bold step of registering Rapid Laboratory Services, a company dedicated to providing mobile COVID-19 testing services in partnership with accredited laboratories as a way of being part of the solution to the global Covid-19 pandemic. When President Hakainde Hichilema announced the availability of funding to support small to medium businesses in 2022, we seized the opportunity and applied for the Presidential Annual Empowerment Award. With unwavering determination, we crafted a compelling business proposal to manufacture laboratory consumables, and engaged an FDA-approved pharmatech company to help us with our submission. Our hard work and perseverance paid off when we were Awarded the 2nd Prize Presidential Award for the year 2022 for demonstrating Growth Performance under the Medium Enterprise Category. The award comes with a non-repayable grant to help us invest in our business. We are proud of this achievement and are excited about the future prospects of Rapid Laboratory Services.We would like to see Zambian scientists not only working on the bench but also manufacturing Laboratory consumables and Equipment.This is the only way we will fully realize our full potential and not just be consumers, I believe that by coming up with such kind of business proposals one day our government and other stakeholders will fully invest their resources in these initiatives. A big thank you to Dr Kamoza Zimba for his tireless contributions !!
