Did U Know That Sleeping Too Much Can Have Negative Effects On Your Health?
Too much sleep on a regular basis can increase the risk of diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and death according to several studies done over the years.
Not getting enough sleep can throw off glucose metabolism and increase insulin levels, and put individuals at a higher risk for diabetes, according to past research.
These same effects can worsen blood sugar management in those who already have the disease
Too much is defined as greater than nine hours. The most common cause is not getting enough sleep the night before, or cumulatively during the week
Normally, an adult needs to sleep for 7-8 hrs.
We are doing our best to spread awareness, do your part by sharing this post with your friends and social cycles.

BENEFITS OF DRINKING WARM LEMON WATER
Start the day out with a mug of warm water and the juice of half a lemon.
It's so simple and the benefits are just too good to ignore. Warm water with lemon:
1. Boosts you're immune system
Lemons are high in Vitamin C and potassium. Vitamin C is great for fighting colds and potassium stimulates brain & nerve function and helps control blood pressure.
2. Balances pH
Lemons are an incredibly alkaline food, believe it or not. Yes, they are acidic on their own, but inside our bodies they're alkaline (the citric acid does not createacidity in the body once metabolized). As you wellness warriors know, an alkaline body is really the key to good health.
3. Helps with weight loss
Lemons are high in pectin fiber, which helps fight hunger cravings. It also has been shown that people who maintain a more alkaline diet lose weight faster. And, my experience is that when I start the day off right, it's easier to make the best choices for myself the rest of the day.
4. Aids digestion
The warm water serves to stimulate the gastrointestinal tract and peristalsis梩he waves of muscle contractions within the intestinal walls that keep things moving. Lemons and limes are also high in minerals and vitamins and help loosen ama, or toxins, in the digestive tract.
5. Acts as a gentle, natural diuretic
Lemon juice helps flush out unwanted materials because lemons increase the rate of urination in the body. Toxins are, therefore, released at a faster rate which helps keep your urinary tract healthy.
6. Clears skin
The vitamin C helps decrease wrinkles and blemishes. Lemon water purges toxins from the blood which helps keep skin clear as well.
7. Hydrates the lymph system
This cup of goodness helps start the day on a hydrated note, which helps prevent dehydration (obviously) and adrenal fatigue. When your body is dehydrated, or deeply dehydrated (adrenal fatigue) it can't perform all of it's proper functions, which leads to toxic buildup, stress, constipation, and the list goes on. Your adrenals happen to be two small glands that sit on top of your kidneys, and along with your thyroid, create energy.
They also secrete important hormones, including aldosterone. Aldosterone is a hormone secreted by your adrenals that regulates water levels and the concentration ofminerals, like sodium, in your body, helping you stay hydrated. Your adrenals are also responsible for regulating your stress response. So, the bottom line is that you really don't want to mess with a deep state of dehydration!
Adopting just this one practice of drinking a cup of warm water with lemon in the morning for a month can radically alter your experience of the day. Don't be surprised if you begin to view mornings in a new light.
Like I said, the recipe is really simple - a cup of warm (not hot) water and the juice from half a lemon.

Why does my underwear appear bleached?
Every lady/woman who has attained puberty will have Va**na discharge- it is normal. It may leave a white or yellow stain on your underwear 🩲 , that’s ok. Discharge is part of the va**na’s natural self-cleaning process.
Your va**nal discharge’s pH level is on the naturally acidic side, varying between 3.5 and 4.5 courtesy of the bacteria “Lactobacillus” working overtime to keep the atmosphere in the va**na optimum. A healthy va**na will produce more acidic discharge, but the pH can fluctuate due to all sorts of factors, including your s*x life, hormones, and the menstrual cycle.
Because the va**na discharge is acidic, you may notice that your underwear looks bleached (especially the dark colored ones). This is not something to worry or be alarmed about, it just shows a normal and healthy va**na doing its job.
If you’re wondering how to prevent this bleaching effect, following the steps below may help:
👉🏾Use of pantyliner. This keeps your Va**nal discharge from reaching your underwear
👉🏾Rinse/wash your underwear immediately after taking them off instead of leaving them for the big laundry day (this gives time for the acidic discharge to do the bleaching)
Healthy discharge doesn’t have a strong smell or colour and won’t be entirely odourless or smell like flowers 💐 so don’t panic if you have a slight scent.
Having mentioned what is healthy, it is noteworthy to let you know if there is any disturbance/alteration in this ecosystem of the va**na, the va**na discharge and smell may also tell.
Examples of habits that alter your va**na ecosystem include:
👉🏾Douching: the act of trying the wash the va**na (washing inside is wrong, washing the v***a is ok)
👉🏾Multiple s*xual partners
👉🏾Frequent use of antibiotics: they knock out both the good and bad bacteria.
👉🏾STI: include Gonorrhea, chlamydia, Trichomoniasis
👉🏾Poor hygiene: cleaning your perineum from back to front (wrong). You should instead clean/wash from front to back so that you don’t bring the bacteria in your a**s to your va**na or urethra opening.
👉🏾Tight Underwear: clothing that don’t breathe well, doesn’t allow free flow of air and can create good medium for growth of other microorganisms. Invest in cotton underwear
STOP the habits above to allow your va**na regain normalcy
PS: the popular staphylococcus being chanted in every car park interestingly isn’t a common cause of abnormal va**na discharge.
If you have abnormal discharge (cottage cheese-like, grayish and fish smelling, yellow and creamy looking like pus, greenish or brown when you’re not on period or around your period) visit a doctor today to get accurate diagnosis and treatment.
I hope you found it helpful.
