Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital is now offering long-acting injectable HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (CAB-LA) through the ART Department.

CAB-LA (Cabotegravir) is a long-acting injectable medicine for HIV prevention. It is given as an intramuscular injection to individuals who are HIV-negative and at ongoing risk of HIV acquisition.

Time: 08:00 β 16:00 hours

β Clients complete a standardized HIV risk assessment
β Mandatory HIV testing is done according to national guidelines
β Eligible HIV-negative clients are initiated on CAB-LA
β Injections are given at baseline, 4 weeks, and then every 8 weeks
