UPND Mobilization team Member Urges Citizens to Register as Voters.
A member of the United Party for National Development (UPND) Eastern Province Mobilization Committee, Dr. Eric Mwale, has urged eligible citizens who have not yet registered as voters to take advantage of the extension period granted by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ).
Speaking to Mphangwe FM News today, Dr. Mwale — who is also aspiring for the Kapoche parliamentary seat in the 2026 general elections — said citizens should make use of this opportunity to ensure they are eligible to vote next year.
Dr. Mwale has thanked the ECZ for responding to people’s concerns by extending the registration period, noting that many were not captured earlier due to various reasons.
He said the extension will help more Zambians register and participate in the upcoming elections.
He has since called on Kapoche residents and Zambians at large to take advantage of the exercise before the deadline.
ECZ had set the 11th November as the duet date for voter registration and has extended the period for 15 days start from the 12th to 26th November 2025.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mwale has expressed disappointment with the conduct of some Chingola youths who disrupted a presidential address, saying the act should be condemned by all well-meaning citizens.
He further stated that those involved should face the full wrath of the law.
